Daryl Ross Preece passed away on January 2, 2026. He was born on May 20, 1959, to Ralph Alma and Carma Ross Preece. He was the youngest of five children- Brent, Gerry, Janet, Lorri and Daryl.
Daryl graduated from Uintah High School and went on to serve a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Tennessee.
He married Penny Zehnle and they had three children; Jason, Alexia, and Ross. They later divorced.
He worked in the hotel industry most of his life but due to chronic pain he took an early retirement. At this time, he started attending the temple more regularly and enjoyed doing work for his ancestors.
The last few years he lived in Orem, Utah with his brother Brent. They enjoyed watching sports and going to BYU Women’s basketball games. They truly enjoyed this special brotherly bond.
Daryl will be sorely missed by all who knew him but especially his children and siblings.
A Family Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
