Mr. David Samuel Grant, 69, of Meggett, entered into rest Friday, January 23, 2026, at his residence. He was the loving husband of the late Mrs. Carol Bunton Grant.
Mr. Grant was born July 6, 1956 in Texas. He served proudly in the United States Navy, where he started learning to be a machinist. After his time in service, he had a long career as a machinist in the shipyards of Charleston. David enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was an interesting person to be around. An accomplished artist and many of his paintings can be seen in his home. He was always willing to help when needed and will forever be remembered as a loving father and grandfather.
Surviving are: a daughter, Heather G. Chase; two grandchildren, David and Halie; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Karen Bunton; a brother-in-law, Randy Bunton and his wife Cindy; and a sister-in-law, The Rt. Reverend Susan G. Haynes and her husband Fr. Tom of Williamsburg, Virginia.
