Mrs. Willie Mae Craven, 78, of Walterboro, entered into rest Friday, February 6, 2026, at Pruitt Health Care in Walterboro. She was the loving wife of fifty-seven years to the late Mr. Jackie David Craven, Sr.
Born May 14, 1947, in Colleton County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Willie Cook and the late Lois Mae Moody Cook. A true Christian woman, Willie Mae dearly loved her family and always cherished spending time with them. She will always be remembered for her love of playing “Yahtzee”, drinking milkshakes, and laughing with her family.
Surviving are: two daughters, Tina McDonald (Cecil) of Lexington and Lynn Roberts of Walterboro; five grandchildren, Josh McDonald, Dannielle Moore (Julius), Jeremy McDonald, Colton Craven, and Dusten Craven; six great grandchildren, Jaden, Easton, Levi, Ryder, Gentry, and Trace; two sisters, Patricia Schmidt of Beaufort and Sarah Herndon of Barnwell; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Roberts of Cottageville; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Jackie David Craven, Jr.; and a son-in-law, Tex Roberts.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, February 9, 2026, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Randy Sharpe will officiate the service. The family will receive friends following the service.
