Kathy Wiggins

Mrs. Katherine Jean Wiggins, known by all as “Kathy”, age 52, entered into rest Monday afternoon, March 9, 2026, at her residence in Walterboro.

Born August 18, 1973, in Walterboro, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Harry Rudolph Beckett, Sr. and the late Patricia Herndon Way. Having spent a great deal of her childhood with her grandparents, the late Brice and Katherine Herndon, she attended with them at Evergreen Christian Church in Walterboro, just a short distance from the old family homestead. This time during her childhood instilled in her the importance of family. She dearly enjoyed catfishing as well as spending time at Otter Island on the boat.

Surviving are: her husband of thirty-two years, Carl E. Wiggins; three children, Preston Wiggins (Amanda) of Round O, Ashley Wiggins of Jamestown, and Emily Wiggins of Walterboro; a brother, Harry Rudolph Beckett of Walterboro; a sister, Donna Reynolds (Keith) of Walterboro; honorary sisters, Sandy Stanfield (Allen) and Brandy Cadelaria (Pete); and five grandchildren, Stetson, Harrison, Malia, Aria, and Noah. She is also survived by three brothers-in-law, Miles, Hammy, and Adam Wiggins; a sister-in-law, Melissa Delk; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Carter Greene.
