Mr. David Allen Deason, age 54, of the Belfast, TN passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024. He was born in Los Angeles, CA, and was a son of the late John Lee Deason and Judy Smithson Deason Haley, who survives. David worked at Goodman industries in Fayetteville, TN and was of the Baptist faith. David was a graduate of Forrest High School Class of 1988. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Deason, cousin, William “Bird” Deason, grandparents, Roy & Louella Smithson and Charlie & Mary Deason.
David loved the outdoors, especially rabbit hunting and fishing. He enjoyed trading goods with folks. He took many trips horseback riding and playing horseshoes. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends and picking with folks! He had a big, beautiful heart.
David is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Donna Beard Deason of Belfast, TN; children, Lisa Clark (Timmy Hazelwood) of Chapel Hill, TN, Kimberly (Caleb) Lancaster of Fayetteville, TN; 6 grandchildren, Mason & Jayden Clark, Kinsley, Kailey, & Cash Lancaster, Whitley Hazelwood; mother, Judy Deason (Fred) Haley of Holt’s Corner Community; brothers, Jerry Lee (Wanda) Deason of Unionville, TN, Mike Jones of Lewisburg, TN; step-sister, Ashley Haley Watts of GA; many other loving family and friends.
Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 1 PM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Scotty Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.
Phillip Beard, Richard Beard, Mike Jones, Caleb Lancaster, Charles Dunn, Michael Crutcher, Jerome Crutcher, and Ray Russell will serve as pallbearers.
