David Paul Allen, 61, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Sanford Health Hospital, Fargo, ND.
David was born on November 15, 1962, to Vernon and Rita (Schiele) Allen at Minot Air Force Base, Minot, ND. He grew up in Minot, ND, and later, Balfour, ND, where he attended high school. He lived in various cities across North Dakota, Washington, living also in Missoula, MT, and eventually settled in Fargo, Moorhead where he has lived ever since.
David loved music, his favorite artists ranging from AC/DC and Billy Ray Cyrus, as long as it was played on a good quality stereo. He had a great sense of humor and was always making jokes and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need of one. He was a great cook and could make a full meal with empty cupboards. Most importantly of all, he loved spending time with his family and loved to have them around whenever he could.
David is survived by his children, David Allen, Trista Steinhaus, Dustin Fassbender, Zach Allen, and Nicholas (Aurora) Allen; 8 grandchildren and one on the way; stepchildren, Marie, Crystal, and Daniele; 5 step-grandchildren; siblings, Vernon Allen and Barbara Larson; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Rita.
Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., followed by the funeral service at 3:00 P.M., Monday, August 19, 2024, at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN. A livestream of the service will be available here on David's webpage.
