David Scott Anania, 65, of New Windsor, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 14, 2025, surrounded by his family.
He was born on October 31, 1959, in Baltimore, MD to the late Peter V. Anania and Nancy Lee Mulcahy Anania. He was the devoted husband of Barbara A. (Ridgely) Anania.
Dave was an electrician by trade with over 30 years of service with the Railroad retiring in 2020 from CSX transportation. His passions were many. He loved dirt bikes, street bikes, camping, 3-D bow shoots and hiking. He also loved music and playing the bass guitar, anything outdoors and was always tinkering in his garage. One of the most important things to him was his family; especially being "Poppy" to his granddaughters.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Barbara are daughter and son-in-law Robin and Matthew Harlan of Westminster, granddaughters Lily and Ella Harlan; brother Peter V. Anania, Jr. of Ellicott City and Andrew J. Anania of Thurmont. He is also survived by nieces and nephew, Elizabeth, Ashen and Tara.
He was predeceased by brother Thomas S. Anania.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD, followed by a memorial service at 2 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
