Mr. David Lewis Anderson, age 79, of Dushore, PA, passed away on Sunday evening, March 29, 2026, at his home, with his loving family at his side.
Dave was born on August 5, 1946, in Huntingdon, PA, a son of the late W. James and Jean Louise Grove Anderson. He graduated from Huntingdon High School a member of the class of 1964.
He married the former Margaret Ann Oppel, on July 23, 1971. They moved to Sullivan County in September of 1975 and made their home in Dushore to raise their two sons. Dave worked as a machinist for Hoffman New-Yorker in Dushore for 32 years and retired in 2013.
Dave enjoyed tinkering and working around his home. A true machinist, he could build and fix anything. He and Peggy also enjoyed the company of many dogs they rescued over the years.

He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother John M. Anderson of Huntingdon, PA, on March 31, 2013, a sister-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Anderson, of Huntingdon, PA, and by two nephews, Jason Anderson and Jamie Anderson.
Per Dave’s wishes, funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bradford County Humane Society, PO Box 179, Ulster, PA 18850.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA.
