David William Andrick, our beloved brother, uncle and friend passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Highland Park Care Center in Alliance, NE.
David was born February 12, 1943 in Alliance, Ne to Ben and Ethel Andrick. David grew up on a ranch in the NE sandhills. He attended Chadron State College and taught for many years at Alliance Public Schools and in several rural schools. David's greatest legacy was as an educator. Over the years he shared his wisdom and kindness with countless children. His patience, encouragement, and love for learning left a lasting impact on generations of young minds.
David had a love for gardening and flowers and earned a degree in horticulture at the University of NE, Lincoln in 1987. Friends and family enjoyed his beautiful gardens and were blessed by the varieties of produce he grew and shared with all.
He is survived by his sisters, Lois (Dan) Hutchinson, Susan (Ken) Holloway, Marjorie (Rick) Guernsey and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Sandra Brungard, and brother Ben Andrick Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the family at 1636 227th Trail, Ellsworth, NE 69340, and will be given to Highland Park Care Center to support their garden project or may be given to a charity of the donor's.
