Donna Marie Culwell, 94, of Alliance, Nebraska, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

She graduated from Fairbury High School and pursued her lifelong calling in nursing, earning her degree from nursing school in Wichita, Kansas. Donna devoted 35 years to her career as a Registered Nurse, caring for her patients with compassion, integrity, and dedication.

On February 27, 1954, she married the love of her life, Robert Culwell. They shared many cherished years together until his passing on January 31, 2003.

Donna's deep faith guided her throughout her life. She was an active member of her church and found great joy in volunteering, always giving selflessly to her community and those in need.

She is survived by her children, Michele and Warner Schulze, Alliance, Ne, Julie Culwell Gates, Cripple Creek, Colorado and Richard and Shirley Culwell, Lincoln, Ne; Seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren; 1 Great-Great grandchild all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

Donna will be remembered for her gentle spirit, steadfast kindness, and enduring faith. Her legacy of love, service, and devotion to others will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held in Alliance, Nebraska, November 12 at 3:30 p.m., at the Highland Park Care Center Chapel. Burial and Services will be held in Lincoln, Nebraska, at a later date in spring of 2026.

Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Culwell; her parents, Henry and Theresa Brandt; and her brother, Larry Brandt.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the care staff at Highland Park for their kindness, compassion, and exceptional care.
