David Roy Ayers, 74, of Kincaid, WV. went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family, August 18, 2025 after a long illness.
David retired in 2009 from Kanawha County Schools as a roofer. You could always find him cutting grass, loading up to go fishing or his favorite past time-spending all the time he could with is grandsons. David was a life long Christian attending East Bank United Methodist Church and Kincaid United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rose and Bernice Ayers; brothers, Sonny, Newman, Beasley, Bob, and Ray; sisters, Tidy, Anita Ann, Virginia, Kay, and Kathy.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Pam of Kincaid, WV; daughter, Amy Whittington of Oak Hill, WV.; special son, Travis Anderson of Huntington, WV.; grandsons, Hunter 9Olivia) Whittington of Deland, FL.; Noah Whittington and Connor Whittington both of Oak Hill, WV. Also survived by sisters, June (Tom) Galyean of Cleveland, OH. and Margaret Kuhn of McConnells, SC.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dave Peters presiding over the services. Final resting place will be Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens in Glasgow, WV.
Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service starting at 11:00 AM.
