David Bagby Obituary
David is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Hattie Bagby; first love, Penny Bagby; son, Christopher Allen, daughter, Jennifer Hill-Wilson; sisters, Anita Dunlap, Brenda Roberson; and sister-in-law, Janet Keeler.
David was the strongest, bravest and most kindhearted man to anyone who met him. He was caring and generous toward everyone. David was a faithful member of McFarland Hill Baptist Church and more importantly a believer in Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his last love, Dale Bagby, son and daughter-in-law, Shea and April Welch; daughters and sons-in-law, Terah and Justin Blankenship, and Brittany and Jamie Woodhead; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Leslie West and Charles Franklin, Mary and Mike Dockery, and Renee and Joe Stanley; brothers-in law and sisters-in-law, Danny and Gale Mitchell, Danny and Kaye Jennings, and Deborah Welch; grandchildren, Andrew Welch, Eli Welch, Mallory Hix, Emerson Blankenship, Bishop Blankenship, Hunter Wilson, Griffin Hill, and Silas Moreland; great-grandchildren, Solomon Wilson, Stetson Wilson; special nephew, Alan Bagby; special friend, James Stickley; special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at McFarland Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Chad Cheatwood and Rev. Michael Gazaway officiating. Interment will follow at United Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations can be made to McFarland Hill Baptist Church in David's name.
