Max Jones

Max Jones, age 90, of Rocky Face, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Bessie Jones; and nine of his siblings.
Max was born May 21, 1935 in Sugar Valley, Georgia one of eleven children. He was an entrepreneur, establishing Florida Metal Services, a successful metal fabricating business creating precision parts for multiple industries over the years. Max was a man of faith and a dedicated member of Salem Baptist Church in Dalton. Max loved his family dearly and his grace and forgiving spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pat Jones of the residence; one sister; six children; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Darey Kittle, and Rev. Noel Caldwell officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until the service hour. Interment will follow at Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
