David Harold Baisden, age 74, of Grove City, was called home to the Lord on Friday, August 16, 2024. David was born on January 7, 1950, in Peach Creek Holler, West Virginia, the eldest of seven children to the late Harold and Janice Baisden.
He is preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, Kathy Baisden; his daughter, Angela; stepson, Steven; his brother, Richard; and his sisters, Patricia, Donna, Mary Lois, and Gwendolyn. David is survived by his brother Gary, his son David, and his stepdaughters Kim (Pat) Conley, Suzanne Schmitz (Dan Pierce) and Stacy Schmitz (Jeremy Leach). He also leaves behind cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
David was a proud graduate of Pleasantview High School, Class of 1969, and he continued his education at The Ohio University. He served his community as a former Columbus Police Officer and later pursued his entrepreneurial spirit as the owner/operator of a dump truck business. He found great joy in spending time with his beloved fur-babies.
David was deeply loved and a blessing to all who knew him. His presence will be sorely missed by everyone.
A Celebration of Life for David will be held on Tuesday August 20, 2024 from 6pm till 8 pm, at the Newcomer Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123.
