Our "Beloved" brother, nephew, cousin, friend, and Uncle Dave passed away February 4, 2026 from an infection. The son of William H. and K. LaRue Dyches Baldwin. Born November 9, 1966 in Ogden, Utah.
David graduated from South High School. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He grew up in the Salt Lake Cannon Third Ward and held numerous callings throughout his life including: Ward Executive Secretary, Activities Committee, Elder's Quorum Presidency, Young Men's Presidency, Sports, and music. Dave enjoyed playing basketball, softball, volleyball, and tennis. He had a beautiful baritone voice and loved to sing. He enjoyed crafts and crocheted many hats for Primary Children's Hospital.
Survived by his sister Darlene (Bruce) Spencer, nephews Dustin (Candice) Spencer and Tyler Spencer, great niece Emily Spencer, uncle and aunt Ted and Elaine Dyches, and numerous loving cousins. Preceded in death by his parents and great nephew Logan Spencer.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 11:00 am at the old Cannon Third Ward, now Cannon Poplar Grove Ward LDS Church, 1301 South 1200 West, Salt Lake City, where friends may call Tuesday, February 10 from 6-8 pm and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 am before the funeral. Interment will be Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Cannonville, Utah Cemetery.
Family wishes to thank Sunridge Assisted Living, Rosewood Assisted Care, University and St. Mark's Hospitals, and members of the Cannon Stake for their kind care of David over the last number of years.
