David Keith Barnes, 65 of Marlton, formerly of Newark, New Jersey entered into eternal rest on Wednesday January 21,2026, at Virtua Hospital in Marlton, New Jersey. David was Born April 20,1960 in Newark, NJ. He attended Queen of Angels Catholic School, Broadway Middle, and Barringer High School, Class of 1979. In 1983, he graduated from Essex County Vocational.

David worked as a custodian for 20 years with the Irvington Board of Education. After retiring from the school district, he then went on to work for Little People Daycare where he was employed by Bencilla Jenkins. David also worked for Ms. Weir at the Prep School for Babies and Children. He also worked as a mail clerk with United States Postal Service. After retiring in 2024, David spent most of his time with his wife, Cecelia and his children.

David leaves to cherish his memory and mourn, his loving wife of 46 years, Cecelia D. Barnes; his children Inkanata, Adriane, Adriannia, Nevaeh, and Jaden, all of Marlton, New Jersey; his brother In-laws, Yusuf S., Lorenzo D., and Thomas Brown; his sister in-laws, Doreen H. Brown & Staci Booth; his nieces, Traci, Keisha, Monique, Laila, and Tuere; his nephews, Almone, Idris, Sharif, Aziz, Jay, Rodney, Frankie, David Jr. and the late Omar; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and many loving cousins and special friends.

David was predeceased by his father, Professor Julius Barnes; his mother, Emma Marshall Barnes; sisters Anita Mack (Abby), Dr. Dora P. Barnes, Linda Stinson (Melvin), and Doreen Garettson (David); his brother, Julius Barnes, Jr.; and his great-niece, Lyonnah.

A memorial visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at The Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Rt 73 South and Evesham Rd, Marlton, NJ 08053. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am, at the funeral home.
