It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dave Baron, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Dave passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024, at the age of 82, surrounded by his cherished family. His life was a testament to kindness, perseverance, and an unwavering love for those around him.
Dave was born on October 24, 1942, and grew up in Audubon Park where he would often work as a caddy at Audubon Country Club. He attended St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church and then St. Xavier High School, where his talent for golf first blossomed, setting the stage for a lifelong passion and career in the sport. Upon graduating from high school, Dave attended Bellarmine University, where he played golf and achieved remarkable success. His outstanding accomplishments on the course earned him induction into the Bellarmine University Athletic Hall of Fame, a distinction he was immensely proud of.
After College, Dave joined the PGA of America and became the first Head Golf Professional at Bobby Nichols Golf Course at the young age of 23. His love for the game and dedication to teaching others also led him to serve as the golf professional at Crescent Hill Golf Course, where he inspired countless players to pursue their love of the sport. Later in life, Dave transitioned to a career with Seven Counties Services, where his compassion and dedication to helping others made a lasting impact. After his retirement, he embraced the joys of family life, dedicating himself wholeheartedly to his loving wife and eight grandchildren. Dave was their biggest fan, cheering them on at every game and event, and his presence was a source of boundless support and love.
Dave's love of working in his yard was evident as it was always crafted to perfection, a testament to his keen eye for detail and love for beauty. A stunning array of flowers and shrubs adorned his outdoor spaces, creating a serene and picturesque environment that brought joy to his family and neighbors.
Dave is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Mary Jane; his children, Lynne (John) Marshall, Kathy (Rick) Arnold, Steven (Alice) Baron, and Danny (Shannon) Baron; his grandchildren, Tyler (Paige) Marshall, Brett Marshall (Christa Saelinger), Andrew Arnold, Emily Arnold, Griffin Baron, Mary Kate Baron, Payton Baron, and Reagan Baron; his brother, Denny (Barbara) Baron; sister, Josette (Lane) Goulet; and brother, Donnie (Susan) Baron. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Baron, and his mother, Genevieve Baron.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Saint Vincent de Paul in Dave's name, continuing his legacy of compassion and support for others. Dave Baron's legacy is one of love, humility, and an enduring passion for life and family.
Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
