David L. Barron

David Barron passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Battle Creek Michigan as the middle of nine children to Lindbergh and Gladys Barron.
David struck out on his own at a young age determined to make a good life for himself. He worked hard at many jobs. From flipping eggs at a truck stop to digging trenches to being an iron worker in Detroit. He eventually owned and operated DL Barron Concrete for 29 years. All of those roads led him to meet his wife, Dollie Barron, whom he loved and dedicated his life to providing for. They married on November 15, 1991and Abby Kenney (Joseph Kenney) became his (step) daughter. David also has a son, Christopher Barron, of Potterville, Michigan.
Friends will remember Dave as straightforward and down to business. But always ready for a cold Bud Light. He would lend a helping hand in many projects in Grand Ledge over the years. If he didn't know how to do it, he knew who did.
Dollie and David would enjoy road trips together. Traveling to Florida, New Orleans and Texas. But mostly enjoyed being in their home that they designed and remodeled together, making it their own.
It wasn't unusual for Dave to spoil his three grandchildren at Christmas and birthdays. Emily Horrocks, Easton Stevens, and Everett Stevens will remember that well.
