David Joseph Bauerle II, 49, of Crane, Indiana, formerly of Columbus, passed from this life Tuesday, February 15, 2022, in Crane.
David was born in Columbus, Indiana, September 1, 1972, the son of David J. and Bonnie L. Henderson Bauerle. On November 7, 2018, David married Jessica Ann Lynn; she survives.
David worked in manufacturing holding various factory positions during his working career. A sports enthusiast, David enjoyed basketball, softball, baseball and attending his kids sporting events. He had a passion for NASCAR and would always follow his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. David was known to be an outdoorsman.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his parents, David and Bonnie Bauerle of Columbus; wife, Jessica of Crane, Indiana; children, Aleksandra, Angelina, Aerianna, and Brayden all of Waldron, Indiana; his stepchildren, Brian of Gosport, Indiana, Billy of Bloomington, Indiana, and Shyann and Jason of Spencer, Indiana; grandchildren, Eden, Samantha, and Madalyn; sisters, Stacey (Jeff) Kelsey of Columbus and Dawn (Steve) Denney of Columbus; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; the Reverend Gary Carter will officiate.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4-7 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
David will be laid to rest at the Garland Brook Cemetery.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to any animal shelter of the donor's choice.
