David E. Beausoleil

Putnam – David E. Beausoleil, 93, of Putnam, died on Wednesday September 18, 2024. He was the loving husband of the late Constance (Jacob) Beausoleil for 72 years who passed away one month before him. Born in Putnam CT, he was the son of the late Euclide Beausoleil and Marie A. (Petrin) Beausoleil.
Mr. Beausoleil was a lifelong communicant of Saint Mary Church of the Visitation, Putnam. David worked for L & J Screen Printing in Worcester as a maintenance supervisor and for Cargill Chevrolet as a parts manager as well as a car mechanic for Beausoleil Buick. He honorably served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
David could fix most anything and if he didn't know how you could bet he would have a manual to reference. He enjoyed puttering around his home and could be found working on his lovely 3-acre property in Elvira Heights. His lush lawn and expansive varieties of ornamental trees, perennial/vegetable gardens and shrubs were all tenderly manicured to perfection. David was a ferocious reader of history books and usually had 2 or 3 volumes going at one time. His extensive knowledge of world politics, and war in particular, made conversation very interesting around the Sunday dinner table. David's greatest pride was his family and he cherished being a grandpa and great-grandpa to Hayden, Tristan and Gabriella Beausoleil.
David is survived by his sons Larry Beausoleil and his wife Pamela of Putnam, CT., and Michael Beausoleil of Mesa, AZ; brother Leo Beausoleil of Killingly, CT; sister Lucille Nelson of Putnam, CT; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Robert Beausoleil, Ronald Beausoleil, and Richard Beausoleil.
