David W. "Butch" Blake, Jr. age 64, of Moundsville, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024 at home, surrounded by his family.
He was born November 9, 1959 in Wheeling, WV son of the late David W. and Margaret Jacobs Blake.
Butch was coal miner with Marshall County Coal Mines, Cameron Portal (ACNR). He was a former shift foreman/supervisor at Ormet for over 20 years, enjoyed riding side by sides and fishing and was a devoted longtime Pittsburgh Steeler fan.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister: Debra Blake Klug; one brother: Jeffrey Blake and a brother-in-law: Arman Mucci.
Survivors include his companion and caretaker: Mary Ann Burge; two daughters: Aimee (Joe) Skok of TX and Allison (Shannon) Blake of PA; one son: Will Blake of Sardis, OH; two grandchildren: Addison and Josh; five step-children; 10 step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren: Kaeson and Kinzlynn; three brothers and sister-in-law: Nick Klug, Bill Wayne and Tonya Wood and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 5-7pm at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 10:00am with Pastor Judy Ream officiating.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
