David Bocci, age 84 of Madison, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born January 11, 1941 in Cleveland he was the son of the late Lorenzo and Maria (DiSanto) Bocci. After graduating from Collinwood High School, David proudly served in the US Army. He then would marry Susan Rueger on February 10, 1968 and together they raised a loving family of 3 wonderful sons, Lawrence (Jennifer), David (Amy) and James (Kerrie) Bocci. Their family continued to grow with 6 grandchildren, David, Sergio, Andrew, Dominic, Julianne, and Francesca.
David is also survived by his sisters, Linda Neal and Joanne Carr; brother-in-law, Herman Rueger and his dear friend, Ken Roberto. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Luigi "Lou", and sisters, Sarah, Theresa, Ida, and Emelia.
David was a true renaissance man who loved nature. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and walks in the park along with a love for opera music. Most of all David cherished the time spent with his family.
Friends and family will be received from 4:00 to 6:00pm on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Here's Hope Baptist Church, 6601 Chapel Road in Madison. A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00am on Monday, April 28, 2025 at the church with Pastor Mark Shearer officiating.
