David Bradley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sigler Funeral Home Inc. - Lucedale on Jan. 9, 2026.
David Eugene Bradley, Sr., age 63, of Leakesville, Mississippi, passed peacefully at home on Thursday, January 8, 2026, surrounded by love.

David was born on January 25, 1962, in Lucedale, Mississippi, to the late Gordon Ernest Bradley and Mae Jewel Miller Bradley. A lifelong resident of Greene County, David lived a life grounded in faith, family, and work.

A self-employed contractor by trade, David was a builder in every sense of the word-shaping homes with his hands and lives with his steadiness. But beyond his work, he was also an Italian chef at heart, known for filling both plates and rooms with warmth. His meals were an expression of love, and his kitchen (although messy) was a gathering place where stories were told and bonds were strengthened.

David had a laugh that carried-full, unmistakable, and contagious. It was the kind of laugh that made others laugh simply by hearing it. Paired with his keen sense of humor, he had a way of lightening heavy moments and reminding those around him that joy could still be found, even in hard seasons.

David leaves behind the love of his life, Sharon Kay Jones Bradley, and together they built a life marked by loyalty, laughter, and shared dreams. He was a proud and loving father whose legacy lives on through his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Kay Bradley; his sons, Eric Wilson Bradley, David (Ashley) Eugene Bradley, Jr., Johnathan Gray, and Nicholas Gray; his daughters, Brandi (David) Leneghan, Britni (Jason) Feuerbacher, Laigha (David) Miller, Veronica Nicole Jernigan, and Hope LeShea Bradley; his mother, Mae Jewel Bradley; his brothers, Vance Bradley, Scott (Sherry) Bradley, Phil (DeeDee) Bradley, and Anthony (Tammie) Bradley; his sister, Gwen Bradley; 19 cherished grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special friend, Will Strickland.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church, 331 Highway 594, Leakesville, Mississippi. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church.

Pallbearers will be Johnathon Bradley, Christopher Bradley, Damien Miller, Andrew Bradley, Ryan Bradley, and Dewey Bradley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Azariah Bradley, Adam Cruz, Justin Brock, Dylan Jernigan, and Elijah Bradley.

Now the hands that built, the voice that sang, and the heart that prayed are at rest.
The prayers he prayed have carried him home.
Though his earthly song has ended, his testimony continues-echoing in faith lived out, meals shared, laughter remembered, and love that will never fade.
