David Brady Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes – MacDonald Chapel - Howell on Jun. 16, 2024.
David "Dave" Brady, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, uncle and nephew passed away peacefully on June 13, 2024, just one day shy of his 62nd birthday. Born on June 14, 1962, in Wyandotte, Michigan, to Joy and Bob Ducoli, Dave grew up in a lively household alongside his siblings Darrell, John, Michael, Simon,Tammy and Darren. He was a proud graduate of Annapolis High School in Dearborn Heights, where he excelled in football, basketball, and baseball, showcasing his athletic talents and team spirit.
Dave honorably served his country as a member of the United States Air Force, where he trained to become an airline mechanic-a skill that would define his career. After his military service, he continued to work in the aviation industry, dedicating many years to Northwest, Delta Airlines and the FAA. His meticulous work ensured the safety and comfort of countless passengers, earning him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
In his personal life, Dave was a devoted husband to his wife of 42 years, Kimberly, and a loving father to his daughter Tiffany and son David. His joy multiplied with the birth of his grandson Eli, who became the apple of his eye. Dave's family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Dave's parents, Joy and Bob Ducoli, his brothers Darrell Brady, John (Tina) Steensen, Michael Brady, and sister Tammy Brady, brothers-in-law Rick (Barb) Brown and Ron (Diane) Brown survive him. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles several adoring nieces and nephews. Dave was preceded in death by his dear in-laws, Richard and Clair Brown, who held a special place in his heart along with brothers Simon and Darren.
An avid outdoorsman, Dave found solace in the serenity of nature. Hunting and fishing along with his love for his many pets were not just hobbies but a way of life for him, providing precious moments of reflection and connection with the environment. His generous spirit was evident in his willingness to share his stories with friends and family.
Described by those who knew him as generous, loving, and kind, Dave's legacy is one of warmth and selflessness. He had a natural ability to make those around him feel valued and loved, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Dave's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the impact one person can have on the lives of many. As we say goodbye to this remarkable man, we take comfort in the memories he leaves behind and the love he spread so freely. Dave's spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, and his memory will be cherished forever.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Dave Brady will be profoundly missed, but the light he brought into this world will never fade.
The family will receive friends at the American Legion Devereaux Post 141, Howell MI on Tuesday, June 18th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Thoughts and prayers to the Brady family. I'm very sorry for your loss. I worked with Dave both at Zantop and Northwest Airlines. We shared many laughs together through the years.
