David Bad Brave Sr., 40, formerly of Mandan and New Town, ND, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at his home in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.

David Claude Bad Brave Íìgaaxish (Leans) was born September 17, 1984, in Minot, North Dakota to Claude Bad Brave and Doris Limberhand. He attended schools in Bismarck, White Shield, Wahpeton, ND, and a boarding school in Pierre, SD.
David welcomed his first son, Daunte, with Jessica Casias in 2002. In 2010 he married Darcy Davenport and second son, David Jr., was born later that year. Even though they parted ways, they found their way back to eachother and were remarred in 2022 in Hawaii. He found peace in life when he was near the ocean. The blended family recently made their home in Rice Lake, WI. David had a close bond with Darcy's daughter, Charolotte, whom he treated as his own.
His life journey took many turns, but he always found his way back to his family. He was very generous and helping others fueled his heart. David Bad Brave, age 40, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025 at his home with his wife and daughter by his side.
David was preceded in death by his father, Claude Bad Brave; paternal grandparents, John Bad Brave and Agnes Many Ribs; maternal grandparents, Elmore Limberhand and Nancy Yellow Robe; uncles, Leonard Conklin, Kelly "Bucky" Freeman, Eugene Conklin, Dennis Conklin, Jasper Limberhand, Douglas Limberhand, Daniel Limberhand, Farron Limberhand, Tim Limberhand, and Robert Cook; aunts Serena Gardner, Beulah Freeman, and Bonnie Cook; mother-in-law, Debra Davenport; sibling-in-law, Daniel Davenport Jr. and Diana McCree; and good friend, Cameron Red Bird.
His is survived by his wife, Darcy Davenport-Bad Brave; mother, Doris Bad Brave; children, Daunte Casias, David Bad Brave Jr, Charolotte Fairbanks-GrayEagle, Cailley Davenport; siblings, Byron Bad Brave, Nicole Bad Brave, Susan Bad Brave, and Leland Bad Brave; nieces and nephews, Cherise, Xavier, Lindsay, and Nakai Bad Brave, Isis, Essa, and Eva Brady, Devin Little Bear, Esdras Sariemento, Evren Contreras;Father-in-law • Daniel Davenport; siblings-in-law, Daisy (Bryan) Denham, Darin (Vicki) Davenport and Dustin (Amanda) Davenport
