********************************

Paul Robert Reed Jr. was born on November 7, 1955, in Butte, Montana, to Paul Sr. and Audrey (Hunts Along) Reed. He was born into the Awaxia Nawida (Dripping Dirt) Clan. He was raised in Butte, Spokane, Los Angeles, Chicago, Garrison, Parshall, and New Town. He attended school in South Dakota at the Pierre Indian School and the Flandreau Indian School, where he played football and wrestled and worked as a DJ at the radio station. He graduated from Flandreau in 1974.

He then entered the United States Navy and served until his honorable discharge. He lived in Williston for a time and attended Williston State College, where he studied auto mechanics. He later attended a vocational school in East Grand Forks, where he received his CDL License for trucking. He then started his career as a truck driver.

He worked for Wiley Trucking Company in Fargo and traveled all over the United States. When the oil boom came to the Bakken, he worked for Power Fuels, driving water trucks, and lived in Minot.

Paul was always helping people and always gave people the benefit of the doubt. When he was younger, he loved working with leather, making belts and purses, which he gifted to family and friends.

Paul in his youth was a bronc rider and was always entertained at rodeos. He also enjoyed horseshoes, fishing, camping, attending concerts, and gambling at casinos. He especially cherished spending time with and getting together with family. On February 18, 2026, Paul Reed Jr. passed away at his home in Minot. May God bless his memory among us.

He is survived by his sisters, Ethel Reed of Bismarck, ND and Carol Reed of Vernal, UT; brother, Andrew Reed of Chaska, MN; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kolden Reed, Gregory Reed, and Leonard Reed; sisters, Marilyn Reed, Pauline Reed-Hinden, Clarice Reed-Davis, and Cecelia Reed; niece, Elizabeth Fox; and nephews, Jason Reed and Damon Reed.
