David F. Brown, age 77, a resident of Dracut, passed away at Port Healthcare Center in Newburyport on September 11, 2025. He was the widow of the late Carol (Rannikko) Brown, who passed in 2022.

Born in Worcester on October 8, 1947, he was a son of the late Louis and Emma (Dansen) Brown. He was educated in the Worcester school system and was a graduate of Burncoat Senior High School class of 1967. He then furthered his education at the University of Lowell where he received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

David was a nature enthusiast and was always planning outdoor adventures, going hiking and seeking thrills such as sky diving, fire walking and other activities. He also enjoyed traveling with and attending musicals, plays, sporting events and numerous other shows with his late wife. His family meant the world to him. He was also an avid Star Wars fanatic.

Prior to his retirement, he worked as a cost accountant for many years.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Andrew Godfroy; a son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Krista Brown; seven grandchildren, Corey, Damon, Nicholas, Elsie, Hendrix, Juniper and Dorian; also several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings and their spouses, Richard and Beverly Brown, Ronald and Gay Brown, Joyce and Robert Best and Diana and Arthur Tetreault.

In accordance with his wishes, a private burial will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 17. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
