David Brown Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Mar. 17, 2026.
David Wayne Brown, 69, of Logan, West Virginia, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

Born on July 16, 1956, in Charleston, West Virginia, David lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, and love for his family. He spent many years as a coal miner and heavy equipment operator, always taking pride in the work he did. David loved to stay active, whether it was working on cars, tending to his yard, or cheering on his favorite football and basketball teams.

Above all, family was the center of David's life. He cherished his beloved wife, Debra Brown, and took immense joy in his son, David Walker (Sarah Walker), and his 9-year-old twin grandsons, Bryson and Bentley, who brought laughter and light into his days. He also valued his siblings-Debbie Brown, Letha Davis, and Gary Brown (Carime Brown)-and the close bond he shared with his uncle, John Brown, as well as his many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Betty Brown, and is survived by his wife, Debra Brown; his son, David Walker (Sarah Walker); his grandsons, Bryson and Bentley Walker; his siblings, Debbie Brown, Letha Davis, and Gary Brown (Carime Brown); his uncle, John Brown; and multiple nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Chapmanville, West Virginia, on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Friends and family are welcome to gather and celebrate his life.
