Someday I'll wish upon a star And wake up Where the clouds are far Behind me Where troubles melt Like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me E.Y.Harburg David Scott Cameron, October 22, 1949 -December 10, 2008, was the son of Anson W. and Jean G. Cameron. Dave is predeceased by his parents and nephew Justin. He is survived by his daughter Sloane, sister Dee S. (Don) Forry of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; brother Andrew W.(Lisa) Cameron of Soldier's Grove, Wisconsin; and brother Michael W. (Christine) Cameron of Reno, Nevada. He leaves in mourning Wanda Dews, Rick Thallman, Richard Adelman, Vashti Jude Forbes and a host of friends and family. Of all his passions, nothing surpassed his love for his precious daughter Sloane. He unabashedly stated to anyone that his greatest blessing was fatherhood. Dave packed travel, adventure, and his share of mayhem shaping one heck of an eventful life. He will be remembered for his baritone voice, guitar playing, love of literature, passion for debate, canvas of tattoos, creation of art, collection of music and eclectic assortment of bric-a-brac that entertained and occasionally offended both young and old. Dave was a proud member of the Living Faith Group and received ongoing support from its members with particular recognition to Jennifer, Richard and Jeff. The family wishes to thank the staff of Austin Grace Hospice and the South Austin Medical Center for the care and comfort provided during Dave's final days. Further acknowledgement to The Seton Heart Transplant team and the family of Narciso Castilleja who gifted Dave with a heart granting him more than a decade of life and the honor of attending Sloane's high school graduation. Finally, the family wishes to recognize the Illinois Cradle Society. A service of remembrance will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 12, 2008 at St. John's Lutheran Church at 409 West Ben White. Scattering of ashes to be held at a yet to be determined date at Lake Delavan, Wisconsin.
