David Capelle, age 61, of Plymouth, passed away on September 6. 2025, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.
He was born on September 5, 1964, son of the late Ralph and Betty (Brigham) Capelle. Dave attended Plymouth grade schools and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1982.
Following high school, Dave carried on the business that his parents started, Capelle's Farm Market, in Plymouth. What started out as a hay wagon of produce at the end of the street became a thriving Plymouth staple. Everyone enjoyed Dave's sweet corn, pumpkins, and Christmas trees.
On November 30, 1985, he married Jill Grabow at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Jill preceded him in death on November 26, 2006.
Dave was very active in the Plymouth community. Starting in 1983, he served 36 years with the Plymouth Volunteer Fire Dept. and First Responders. He also served many years on the board for the Plymouth Gift of Life and was a longtime member of the Plymouth Snow Rangers.
In his younger years, he enjoyed travelling with his family to places like Missouri, Florida, Jamaica, and Mexico. Every year since 1989, either a Christmas or New Year's was spent with the family at Fox Hills Resort in Michicot.
More recently, he loved spending time at his house in Missouri, relaxing at Larson's Resort on Lake Ellen, and being with family friends. Dave's boisterous laughter and unique ability to make any joke inappropriate will be greatly missed.
Dave is survived by: Two children: Tony (Kari) of Cascade and Amy (Matthew) Miles of Plymouth; Five grandchildren: Alivia, Zander, Nolan, Amelia, and William; Companion, Caroline Kollmann and her son, Adam; Siblings: Kathy (Mike) Schneider, Carol (Jeff) Mills, Fred Capelle, and Linda Ribar; Sisters-in-law: Deborah (Peter) Zinda and RaeAnn (Rory) Beebe; Brothers-in-law: Dennis (Patricia) Grabow and Mike Briggs: as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded by death by: His wife and soulmate, Jill; Parents, Ralph and Betty; Parents-in-law: Donald and Ayleene Grabow; and Sister, Christine Briggs.
