David Paul Carlson, 79, of Beeville, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2024.
David was born on March 31, 1944, in Dearborn, Michigan to Paul Oscar Carlson and Netti Carlson. He attended A.C. Jones High School and lived his life in his hometown of Beeville. He was a dedicated man of God throughout his life and lived his life according to the word of God. As a loving and caring individual, David brought happiness to those around him with his special personality and was known for his charm and sense of humor. He had a passion for playing the guitar, singing, and writing poems. He enjoyed visiting senior homes, spreading God’s love through his music and poetry.
After working as a pipe fitter for many grueling years, David pursued becoming a master plumber and taught his sons the same trade. He successfully opened Carlson’s Plumbing Company on July 1, 1978, and stayed in business for 40 years. Additionally, he was a published author, known for his Angel Cloud Poetry V book series.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Netti Carlson.
Survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Linda (Keck) Carlson; his sons, Zion Carlson, Brian Carlson and Bobby Barragan; and his daughters, Shel’Lee Alexander Carlson and Dr. Cassandra Spurling. He had six grandchildren who will always keep his love and memory close to their heart. He cherished his family and their love meant the world to him.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, February 2, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Beeville with the funeral service at 10 o’clock. Rev. Esther Hutsell will officiate.
Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Zion Carlson, Brian Carlson, Ryan Carlson, Clayton Carlson and Bobby Barragan.
David Carlson will be deeply missed by his family, friends, loved ones and all those whose lives he touched. His memory will live on through his poetry, music, and the happiness he brought to others. David faithfully gave God all the glory for his blessings, and now we thank God for blessing our lives with him.
