David. C. Castor, 80, of Silvis passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.
Private graveside services will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to QCAWC.
David was born January 5, 1945 in Reading, Pa. the son of Ellis and Josephine Specht Castor. He attended The Hill School in Pennsylvania. David served in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He married Mary Ann Holder May 1, 2001 in Rock Island, Ill. She passed away June 2, 2021. David retired from Wonder Bread in Davenport in 2000 at the age of 55. He was known for his witty sense of humor and loved animals and sports, especially softball, golf, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and St. Louis Cardinals.
Survivors include his daughter, Kristina Castor of Gilbert, Ari.; step daughter, Tanya (Paul) Braet of Colona and Dallas (Jeff) Muenchrath of St. John's, Fla.; grandchildren, Brock, Akayla, and Jace.
David was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and brothers, Jack, Tom, and Bobby Castor.

I first met Dave when I was 7 years old and I will never forget his rendition of Jack and Jill using his Donald Duck voice. He always made me laugh. You will be missed my friend.
