David Lynn Chaddlesone, 62 years of age, of Anadarko, Oklahoma departed this life in the early hours of November 14, 2022 at Inspire Specialty Hospital in midwest City, Oklahoma. David, born on May 8, 1960 at the Indian Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma was the 6th of 7 children all born to their mother, Alice "Cherry" Toppah Chaddlesone and father, John Wesley Chaddlesone.
David grew up and went to elementary and junior high school in Lawton and Carnegie, Oklahoma. He attended high school at Riverside Indian SChool and graduated with the class of 1978.
David had several nicknames throughout his life. His first name, "Dancing Bear", was given to him while he was a student at Riverside. He liked to dance and it was said all the girls knew who to call to the dance floor and David would oblige. He was large of stature so you an picture why he got this nickname. David and his cousin, Paul McDaniels Jr. were teasing and terrorizing each other one day. as they liked to do. At that particular time "Mad Cow" disease was the topic of the day. David told Jr. when he walked his legs shook like them cows that had mad cow disease. Jr. shot back that David's name was "Daisy Mad Cow" and it was so funny it stuck. A certain faction of his friends would tease him and call him by that name. Another teasing and terrorizing nickname he was known by was "Uncle Krunkie" which was bestowed on him by his nephew and certain family members called him by this nickname.
David was a unique person and had a big personality. He lived in many different places throughout his lifetime and made friends everywhere he went. If he met a stranger, they didn't stay "strange' for long as he would find some commonality to start a conversation. More likely it would be that he would just start making funny comments and then a rapport was formed because of course, we all like to laugh and David made us all laugh. David's sense of humor and friendliness created many friendships with people both young and old, and of different genders, native nations and all races.
David had a kind heart and was empathetic to people's suffering. He spent many hours as a live-in "nurse" for different people to help take care of them and their families. In this role, he cooked meals, kept the home clean, attended to emergencies and brought good cheer to those in need of support.
David was an accomplished beadworker and produced numerous pieces of jewelry, regalia, and important cultural pieces which are owned by people nationwide. David put a lot of thought into his designs and worked hard to meet requests. He was a fast beader so once he had everything designed he could quickly turn around an order right then and this was a much appreciated skill of his.
David loved to cook, especially native food. He liked posting foodie pictures on facebook. David also became an expert meat pie maker and he would have an occasional food sale if he needed some financial help. His food was always in demand and sold out quick.
David was very proud to be a member of the Kiowa Tribe. He loved taking pictures of family and friends. He held an office with the Riverside Alumni Association. He loved all types of music but had a special affinity for old school and classic R&B music. He loved attending music concerts in his younger days. Throughout his life he loved going to pow wows, 49's and other native celebrations and ceremonials. David loved the "little ones" and loved teasing them and rewarding them with whatever he had available be it food, candy or money.
