David Kenneth Chapman, 10, of Mifflinburg, entered into the arms of Jesus at 8:05 am on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

David was born on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Evangelical Community Hospital to Jennifer E. (Mylott) and Douglas P. Chapman.

David was attending Mifflinburg Schools.

In 2015, David was diagnosed with a grade 3 cancerous brain tumor.

David loved the Lord, and after his diagnosis, he found comfort in knowing that he would "soon" get to meet Jesus.  He enjoyed going to church and listening to Christian music, especially WGRC.  David had a passion for all things outdoors including hiking, gardening, exploring nature and bugs. He also played soccer and was learning to play tennis.

In addition to his parents, David is survived by his 2 brothers, Joseph P. Chapman and Michael G. Chapman who reside at home; his maternal grandparents, John and Margo Mylott; his paternal grandmother Dottie and her husband Sam Beiler, 3 Aunts & Uncles; Greg & Jocelyn Mylott, Joe & Shonda Chapman and Kenneth Chapman; 3 cousins, Samantha Mylott, Josiah Chapman and Quincy Chapman.

David was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, David D. Chapman; and 2 aunts, Amy Chapman and Angela Chapman.

Family and friends are invited to David's viewing on Monday, April 16 from 4-7 pm at the Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene, 12 Market Street, Mifflinburg.

David's family will also receive visitors on Tuesday, April 17 from 5-6 pm at Crossroads Church of the Nazarene, 71 Nazarene Lane in Milton, and his Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 pm with Pastor Jeremy Smallwood, officiating.
