Dearest Beverly,
There are no words that can express how I feel for you and your family. David was wonderfully kind warm and had such a great sense of humor. His sense of family and us family of friends was so deep and appreciated. We all knew how much we meant to him and how very much he meant to all of us. We love you,
Andrea

I'm so sorry to learn of this sad, unexpected loss to my "fave Dave" fitness trainer and his fine family. Although I never met him, Dave Sr. clearly sounds like a wonderful man in so many dimensions. And I see signs of these significant qualities in his son!
May God bless and keep you all, and your large circle of family and friends provide you solace and support.

I offer my sincere condolences to the surviving family members and close personal friends of Dave "Chap" Chappron. I knew Dave in the late 1960s and early to mid-1970s when we both were growing up in Hull. Although we hung around with a different group of kids, I played varsity basketball with Dave at Hull High School under Coach Joe Menice and competed against him periodically in the Hull Summer Basketball League played at night at the outdoor Kenberma Basketball court. Dave was a great guy, a great teammate, a tough opponent and a good sport. He conducted himself appropriately and always treated everyone he encountered with dignity and respect. He was definitely a credit to the Town of Hull and all its residents. After I graduated from Hull High School in 1975, I´d occasionally see Dave in the summer months on the Kenberma Courts when we were both on semester break from college, but truthfully I lost track of him by 1980 when I entered the Army on active duty. I was proud to learn much later-and it came as no surprise to me-Dave completed his degree at Mass Maritime Academy, had a successful career in the Navy and after leaving the military, eventually got married and with his wife raised a wonderful family. Or that Dave eventually returned to live on the South Shore and got involved in a big way supporting youth basketball and other youth sports programs in Braintree. I´m glad I got to know Dave many years ago. He was a really good person. May he R.I.P.
