David Wayne Clark, Jr., age 30, of Exeter, Missouri passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025. He was born April 9, 1995, in Joplin, Missouri the son of David Wayne Clark, Sr. and Carleen Holly (Hay) Butterworth, both of whom preceded him in death.

David is survived by his maternal grandparents, Curtis Hay, Sr. and Sharon (Yancey) Hay of Granby, Missouri; one brother, Christopher Bailey and his wife Stacy of Rogers, Arkansas; one sister, Heather Edwards of Cassville, Missouri and three nephews, Chase Bailey, Jesse Baxter, and Landon Edwards. A proud graduate of Cassville High School in 2013, David's academic ability was evident early on when he won the 8th Grade Math Competition. He furthered his education at the University of Missouri in West Plains.

David's love for music shone through his achievements in choir, where he earned both Missouri divisional and state awards. His passion for music extended to his personal life, where he found joy playing on his keyboard. David's participation in the Cassville bowling league showcased his competitive spirit, while his love for video games and miniature golf offered him moments of relaxation and fun. His passion for the Star Wars saga was more than a hobby, as seen in his collection of Pokémon cards and Star Wars figurines. David's character shone brightly through his wit, loyalty, dependability, and honesty. To know him was to experience a steadfast friend who stood by your side through thick and thin.
