Ruth Ellen Edwards, age 84, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025 at her home.

She was born May 31, 1941 in Cato, Missouri the daughter of Elbert and Oma (Stockton) Thomas. On October 16, 1957 she was united in marriage to Frank Edwards who preceded her in death on August 6, 2024. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Glenn Thomas, Henry Thomas, and Roy Snyder; sisters, Lottie Mae Thomas and Jerlene Broyles and step grandson, Cody Blankenship.

Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn Blankenship and husband Freddie of Cato, Missouri; grandsons, Richard Franklin Isley and Hank William Isley; step granddaughter, Crissy Isley; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Anderson, Hailey Isley, Hank Isley, Jr.; great-great-grandchildren Aiden Conner Harrison and Raelynn Cole Harrison and several nieces and nephews.

Ruth grew up in the Cato, Missouri area and attended Mountain Home School in Cato and Cassville High School in Cassville, Missouri. She was employed by the Missouri Extension of Barry County, Missouri where she taught classes on cooking and gardening. Ruth enjoyed cooking, and gardening, especially tending her flower beds. In her spare time, she would go to flea markets and yard sales. Ruth's faith was very strong.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Paul Wahlert will conduct the services.

Contributions may be made to Mineral Springs Cemetery in memory of Ruth.
