Bradshaw Funeral & Cremation Services - Rice StreetDavid P. Clements, affectionately known to many as Dave, graced this world with his gentle and loving spirit on August 14, 1972, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is with profound sorrow and boundless love that we announce his peaceful passing on February 13, 2026, in St. Paul, Minnesota, following a valiant battle with cancer. Dave's life was a testament to the power of kindness, the strength of family bonds, and the indelible impact one individual can have on the lives of many.
Dave's early years were filled with the warmth and support of his parents, Mark and Maggie Clements, who instilled in him the values of compassion and service to others. His sibling bond with his sister, Heather Bussmann, was a source of joy and camaraderie throughout his life.
Dave's journey of lifelong learning began with a B.A. in Communications and a minor in Theology from Saint John's University, followed by a Master's degree in Industrial Relations from the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. This academic foundation laid the groundwork for a career marked by innovation, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Over a dedicated 14-year tenure at Target, Dave was a respected Senior Manager of Internal Audit. His passion for mentorship and growth was evident as he coached countless professionals, fostering environments of continuous improvement and psychological safety.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dave's life was rich with personal passions and spiritual depth. His love for soccer, guitar, camping, hiking, canoeing, and attending concerts was only matched by the joy he found in sharing these experiences with his cherished wife, Melissa, and their three beloved children, Sophia, Marcus, and Julia. Dave's spirit of adventure and appreciation for the beauty of the natural world were gifts he lovingly imparted to his family.
Those who knew Dave were touched by his loving, kind, and gentle nature. His spiritual approach to life was a beacon of hope and comfort to those around him, reflecting a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of all things. The words that best describe Dave are the very essence of who he was: a devoted husband, a nurturing father, a loyal son and brother, a trusted friend, for all who knew him.
As we say goodbye to David P. Clements, we celebrate the remarkable legacy he leaves behind. His love and teachings will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Dave's journey on earth may have concluded, but the stories of his kindness, his unwavering support, and his gentle spirit will endure, inspiring generations to come.
David is survived by his wife, Melissa (Persram); children, Sophia, Marcus, and Julia; parents, Mark and Maggie; sister, Heather (Matt), and their children, Carlo, Gus, and Nora; his cat, Louie; his dog, Georgie; and a strong, loving community of extended family and friends.
He is preceded by his grandparents; cousin Mandy Marek; and beloved dog Oskar.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 21 at 9AM at the McNamara Alumni Center in Minneapolis (200 SE Oak St, Minneapolis, MN 55455).
