Robert Ward Jr.
July 14, 1932 - January 22, 2026
Robert "Bob" Ward, affectionately known to all as "Grand Daddy," peacefully completed his long and storied journey on January 22, 2026, at the remarkable age of 93.
A true survivor and a proud veteran of the Korean War, Bob was a man who truly "saw and done it all." He carried the resilience of his generation with a quiet strength and a sharp wit that commanded respect from everyone he met. His 93 years on this earth were a testament to endurance, service, and, above all, an unwavering devotion to the family he built.
To his family, he was the patriarch who touched countless lives and created a foundation of love and respect that will never be shaken. He taught us what it meant to persevere, and his legacy of strength lives on in the very fabric of our family.
Bob is survived by his children, Marion, Ollie, Denita, Robert, Brian, Niki, and Amanda. His spirit continues through his grandchildren, Maurice, Labarron, Cedric, Sunsharay, Giovanna, Davianna , Dajà, Tavarius, Brian, Jordan, Paris, Savanah, Jayda, MJ, Nico and Royal; great grandchildren, Joaquine, Reginae, Zephaniah, Jaiden, Atianna, Alfonzo, Ladanion, Tileka, Sire, Marianna, Jordan Jr, Isaiah, Natalija, Saliyah, Lydia, Mischa, Briella, Phillip, and Akashira; as well as a beautiful lineage of great-great-grandchildren who will grow up hearing the legends of their Grand Daddy.
He has finished his walk on this earth, but his legacy lives on through us. He was loved tremendously, he will be missed deeply, and he will never be forgotten.
A graveside service for Mr. Robert Ward will be held on Tuesday, February 10th at 11:30 AM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Those wishing to attend should be lined up in assembly area 6 by 11:15 AM. A map is available below.
