David Stanley Clutton, 82, of Camillus, NY, passed away on September 21, 2024.

David was born in Chicago, Illinois, on May 11, 1942, to Joseph and Mary Clutton. For the first ten years of his life, he lived in historic Riverside, Illinois. That year, the family moved to Tenafly, NJ, and David attended Tenafly public school through high school.

David attended Purdue, Pace, and New York University, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in business.

David had success in the then-burgeoning IT field. His most recent position before retiring was Quality Software Manager at Avis Car Rental, a Cendant corporation.

David’s interests were very eclectic. Rock, classical, and folk music played in the background of his life. His love of reading was impressive. His books were from many genres: history, sci-fi, horror, and mysteries. David could have taught a class on the Civil War era. A newer hobby was costuming and cosplay electronics. From stamps to coins, antiques to oddities, David was a collector of “stuff.”

David was preceded in death by Father Joseph O. Clutton, Mother Mary Catherine Truesdale, and Brother Stanley Clutton.

He is survived by his loving Wife of 34 years, Donna Jeffery-Clutton, who was his rock and his joy. His Three Daughters, Patricia (Stephen) Brundage, Tiffany (Matthew) Gregson, and Danielle (Anthony) Anello, were the pride of his life. His Two Sons, James (Kristi) Jeffery III, and Scott (Jordan) Jeffery, were his companions in many adventures. His Grandsons, Kyle Gregson, Nevan Brundage, James Jeffery IV, Anthony Anello Jr., and Granddaughter, Sierra Gregson, brought him immeasurable joy.
