David Collier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wilbert Funeral Home - Plaquemine on Jan. 26, 2026.
David Louis Collier passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the age of 77. He was a native and resident of Baton Rouge. David was a self-employed business owner. Per his wishes, he was cremated and services will be held at a later date. David is survived by his children, Alison Collier Bradley and husband Kevin, Julianne Collier, Rebecca Collier Bergeron and husband Brant, Gabriel Collier, Buffie Clarke; four grandchildren; sister, Linda Collier Brown and husband Barry.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Collier and Colleen Stockwell Fields; brother, Mike Collier.

David was a true lover of art who found peace in drawing, sketching, and reading. He was known for "gifting" his children and grandchildren abstract drawings, playfully keeping them guessing at their true meanings. An avid sports fan, David loved both watching and playing the game; he especially cherished his memories on the golf course, often recounting the time he played at the legendary Pebble Beach.

Although he lived with the challenges of mental illness for much of his life, his love for his children and grandchildren remained constant and unwavering. David possessed a kind and gentle soul that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
