David Corriveau Obituary

On Wednesday March 13, 2024, David's heart suddenly gave out and he died at age 71. He was born in Manchester, August 2, 1952, the son of the late Alphonse & Josephine (Kleczynska) Corriveau. He graduated from Manchester Memorial High School, class of 1971 and attended Hesser's Business College.

David worked throughout his lifetime at Corriveau-Routhier, the family masonry supply business. His dedication, loyalty, and strongest work ethic continued in the knowledge and mastery of the many aspects of the business at the side of his father, then becoming president of the company.

His love and extraordinary talent of all things mechanical started with the fleet of the company trucks, continuing to his first car at 16, and the many to follow. He maintained all machinery in perfect running order, and especially liked to increase the speed of his drag racing Firebird.

David had a natural athletic ability with remarkable strength and stamina. Ever since he first put on his skates, ice skating and the game of hockey became his lifelong passion. He started playing with MYRHA, Memorial High School Hockey Team, the Manchester Blackhawks, then several men's hockey leagues, now senior hockey groups. During these years Corriveau-Routhier supported many teams and events. David proudly served on the board of directors of NH Legends Hockey.

As an avid bicyclist, David completed Mt. Washington Hillclimbs, dozens of century rides and countless group rides with family and friends. Other interests were music, boating, and technology to name a few.

David loved family birthdays and all celebratory occasions. Holidays found him putting up many Christmas lights- his light shines as brightly. David's greatest generosity and loving care of his family and all, were in the like manner of his father and mother.

Family members include his wife, Dori Jamieson; David's children Jason Corriveau, Neil Corriveau, Aubrey Corriveau; Dori's children Jordyn Jamieson and Jake Jamieson and newborn granddaughter; David's brother and 3 sisters: John Corriveau, Nancy Gorczyca, Lynda Lubelczyk, Janet Corriveau; 2 nieces and 2 nephews: Vanessa, Kerry, Joe, Alek; a grandnephew and grandnieces and cousins.

Also, remembering and honoring David's great hockey and sports buddies, many friends, employees & neighbors. Thank you for adding presence and humor to his life, as he so added to ours.

Nancy, Linda, John and family,
So sad to hear the news of David's passing. After working with David for 14 years I learned a lot and we had a ton of laughs throughout the years. He was never afraid to do the daring things no one else would do. Although I had not seen him in a few years, we could catch up in an instance.
Thinking of you all. R.I.P. Dave

David, I knew you when you were on the hockey team with me at Memorial. I just found out about your death when Pete Perrick mentioned you. I looked in the paper in which I read every day but did not see your name , unless I missed it, And you had your funeral at Blessed Sacrament. I am a parishioner. I saw your name in the bulletin, but did not put 2 and 2 together. You will be missed. Now you are with God. RIP

So sorry for your loss. Dave was a regular in my yoga classes this past year. I thought it was strange he hadn't come in two weeks. Now I know why. He was always very funny and entertaining, I will miss him

Every time I saw Dave we would tell each other stories! If he was telling the story I would try to out do him with one of mine...and if I was telling the story he would try to out do me with his! and every time we left each other we would laughing our butts off!
I never really believed much in God and the bible but in times like this it makes you think?...last night I was lying in bed thinking...thinking about Dave's big smile and the sound of his laugh...as he was passing through those Pearly gates!
It was a privilege to have known you Dave.
Rest in peace my friend.

So very sorry to hear of Dave's passing.
I grew up with Dave and many others in the Manchester Youth Hockey Program. I went to West High and I played against Dave for years. He was big and powerful, just don't get him mad. Such a talented athlete from a wonderful family.
My deepest condolences.
