David Crawford Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by All Veterans Funeral & Cremation - Colorado Springs on Jan. 27, 2026.
David Nelson Crawford, 71, passed away on January 13, 2026, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Born on December 19, 1954, in Houston, Texas, David brought warmth and laughter to those around him throughout his life. David spent the majority of his years in Scottsdale, Arizona, a place he called home and where many memories were made. He was known for his quick wit and charismatic personality. Whether sharing a joke or cheering on his favorite Arizona sports teams-regardless of the scoreboard-David's enthusiasm was infectious. He had a particular fondness for horse racing and found joy in betting on ponies and watching them cross the finish line. Shortly after graduating high school, David enlisted in the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country. Family was at the heart of David's world. He is lovingly remembered by his significant other Karen Kramer; his brother Bill (Cheryl) Crawford; his brother John Crawford; his son David (Jessica) Jenkins; his son Justin Crawford; his daughter Melanie (Mitchell) Rose; his daughter Sarah (Mickey) Hermes; his daughter Kim (Katie) Sena; his daughter Alycia Kramer; his daughter Ashley (David) Rooks; and many grandchildren who brought him immense pride and happiness. David was preceded in death by his parents, William and Sharon Crawford; his sister, Caron Wright; and his nephew, Spencer Wright. His legacy lives on through the laughter he shared, the stories he told, and the love he gave so freely. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. David was filled with enthusiasm and always had a positive perspective on life. He and his family were a wonderful part of our neighborhood. I will always remember that two day Monopoly game that I unfortunately lost. He never made me feel bad when I lost but encouraged me to keep trying. To this day I still enjoy a good competitive game and he was probably one of the influential reasons. I also remembering gathering at your home watching the first color TV. Thanks to David and the Crawford family for all the good memories.
