David Charles Cross

David Charles Cross, 81, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025.

David dedicated his career to the engineering field, holding multiple patents and contributing his expertise at GE and International Harvester before retiring from Jideco.

He was known for his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to excellence. Outside of work, he was deeply involved in his community and church life. He served faithfully as a deacon at Cedar Grove Baptist Church and as Secretary and Treasurer of his homeowners’ association, roles he took great pride in.

David was a devoted husband, always putting his wife first, and a loving father who treasured time spent with his family. He was a social and caring man who never met a stranger, and he especially enjoyed Sunday afternoons watching NASCAR with his loved ones.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Shela, and his children, Julie, Matthew, and Mark. 

We invite you to join us in celebrating David’s life on November 11, 2025. Visitation with the family will start at 10 a.m., followed by a service. The gathering will be held at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, 4900 Cedar Grove Road, Shepherdsville, KY 40165.
