PEABODY- Mr. David J. Currier 75, of Peabody, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 9th, 2026 at Salem Hospital.

Born in Salem, he was the son of late James and Theodora (Serafini) Currier. He was raised and educated in Salem, attended St. James Elementary School, and was a graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School. David continued his education at Salem State University.

David dedicated nearly two decades of his professional life as an Aircraft Engine Technician at General Electric, where his meticulous attention to detail shone brightly. He specialized in building plastic models of World War I and II airplanes, fighter jets, ships, cars, and trucks. His devotion to this craft led him to become the Founder and President of the North Shore Scale Models Club, where he mentored and inspired younger generations refine and expand their modeling skills.

In addition to his love for modeling, David cherished the great outdoors. He found joy in camping and hiking, as well as spending time with his friends and family. An active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, David served as head usher, reflecting his deep commitment to his faith and community. He was known for his caring nature and his unwavering love for animals and people alike. His compassionate spirit extended to his advocacy for children’s charities, demonstrating his belief in the importance of giving back.

David is survived by his loving family, including his son, Keith Currier, his sister, Sharon Drown-Ferreira and her husband Jeff of Ipswich. His cherished nieces and nephews, Louis Goodwin and his partner Kristina Silva of Amesbury, Erik and his wife Danielle Drown of Boxford, his niece, Meghan Prentice and her husband Jonathan Prentice of Danvers and his loving grandnieces and grandnephews, Kassandra, Greyson, Gabriel, Emersyn, Nathaniel and Saleena, along with many beloved friends.
