David Allen Dailey, born on November 19, 1948, in East Liverpool, Ohio, passed away at his home in Calcutta on September 15, 2025, at the age of 76.

David was the son of the late Alfred and Edith (Cornell) Dailey. He attended East Liverpool High school and lived in the area most of his life, spending several years in Marion, Indiana and Round Rock, Texas. Throughout his life, he cherished his Ohio roots and remained an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, rarely missing the opportunity to watch their games.

Though he worked for a short period at Wal-Mart, David's true passion lay in the simple joys of life-spending time with family, cheering on his beloved Buckeyes, and being present for those he loved.

Along with his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Lovelady.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are: his son, Jason Dailey; grandchildren, Isaac Dailey, Colin Dailey, and Baylee Smith-Dailey; brother Jim Dailey and wife Lisa Dailey; sister Jane Cunningham; and brother-in-law, Clyde Lovelady. David is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him.

At David's request, no formal services will be held. The Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists have been entrusted with David's care.
