Richard Frank Cox, 93, of Gilbert, AZ, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, with family by his side. Born December 2, 1931, in East Liverpool, OH, he was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served with the 1st Cavalry Division during the Korean War. He later worked at Crucible Steel Mill in Pennsylvania before moving to Arizona.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 65 years, Rose Marie; his daughters Marcy Abdorrahimzadeh and her husband Mehran, Judy Lynch and her husband Todd; his son John; and his son-in-law Ahmad Sadegh. He was cherished as "Pap" by his eight grandchildren: Ryan Lynch and his wife Jessica, Lexi Cook and her husband Cole, Courtney Sadegh, Taranee Sadegh, Nathan Abdorrahimzadeh, Zachary Abdorrahimzadeh and his wife Cassidy, John Cox Jr., Grace Cox and her fiancé Josh. He was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Mason Lynch, Nora Lynch, Kamran Abdorrahimzadeh, and Ryder Galler.

Remembered for his devotion to family, service, and hard work, Richard's legacy of love and honor will live on through all who knew him.

Private family services will be held at Care Funeral and Cremation Specialist, 15872 St. Clair Avenue, Calcutta, Ohio, on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
