David Day Obituary
Lamont, MI
David Allen Sr., Day aged 84, of Lamont, passed away Tuesday, Dec 5 at his home with family at his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph and Margaret (Lyon) Day; brother, Robert; Sister, Fern; sons, Brian Day and Troy Matuk and granddaughter, Rebecca.
Dave is survived by his wife, Marge; his children, Doug (Wendy) Bass, Todd Matuk, Tracy (Scott) Galloway and David Jr (Staci) Day; several grandchildren including "SPECIAL" grandchildren, Dustin, Brooke, Kendra, BryAnn and 'D.J'; one sister, Sharon (Eugene) Frazier; sisters-in-law, Betty VanderMeer and Nella (Ted) Ostrander; brothers-in-law, Warren (Diana) Post and Harvey (Nancy) Post; several nieces and nephews.
Dave enjoyed puttering with projects and loved the outdoors. He was a graduate of Traverse City High School and retired from H.S Tool & Die in Standale.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 9, 11:00 A.M. at Little Farms Chapel, 2518 Arthur St. E., Coopersville, MI 49404 with Pastor Robert VanManen officiating. Burial in Maplewood Cemetery, Lamont, MI. Visitation will be Friday, Dec 8, from 3-7 P.M. at Little Farms Chapel and Saturday at the church one hour prior to the service from 10 – 11 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Corewell Health Hospice, 750 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI or Little Farms Chapel, 2518 Arthur St. E., Coopersville, MI, 49404.
