David DeGroat Obituary
Born in Paterson, NJ on February 16, 1957, he was one of four children born to the late Leo and Helen DeGroat.
David was a dietary aide for Mt. Alverno Center in Warwick for 31 years.
David is survived by his brother James DeGroat, sister Diane DeGroat, brother Leo DeGroat, Jr. and his wife Tuewana; and their children Brett and Seth; cousin Gerard DeGroat; and his beloved cat Bandit.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 8:00 p.m. at the Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.

David, we have so many memories as neighborhood/childhood friends, co-workers, and most of all FRIENDS! Your laugh and smile will be greatly missed along with all the singing and videos you loved to share with us all. Warwick definitely lost another angel. I will never forget the last thing you said to me when I visited you during your recovery. I LOVE YOU MY FRIEND! Rest in the sweetest peace!
