David James Dengel of Green County, KY was the son of Judith Erfert and the late James Dengel. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 5, 1958, and departed this life peacefully at his home in Green County on Thursday, January 15, 2026, having attained the age of sixty-seven years, five months and ten days.
He loved the Lord and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. He loved his family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, loved muscles cars, drag racing and the Green Bay Packers. He retired from Heat & Frost Insulator in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and loved working as a mechanic in the Green County Speed Shop working on muscle cars.
He is survived by his wife Annette Bergemann Dengel of 46 years having wed on February 2, 1979; his mother Judith Erfert; four sons: Jason Dengel and Taryn of Campbellsville, Christopher Dengel and Amy of Taylorsville, Billy Dengel and Abigail of Campbellsville and Paul Dengel and Cortney Moses of Williamsburg; two brothers: James Dengel of Missouri, Daniel Dengel of Georgia; one sister: Lynette Mews of Wisconsin; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren, beloved dog: Minnie and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service for David James Dengel will be 1 PM Central Time Monday, January 19, 2026 at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg with Bro. Roger Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Green County.
Visitation will be 11 AM CT Monday until the funeral hour at 1 PM CT at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.

The family has requested expressions of sympathy be made to the Riverside Baptist Church Building Fund. These can be made at the funeral home.
